Our Support Services

We work with adults across Berkshire requiring support within their own home or out in  the community which is flexible and creative, reliable and  safe. All calls are a minimum of an hour and can include:
  • Support in your community
  • Supported living
  • Support within your own home 
  • Support with personal care 
  • Support to help you live as independently as possible
  • Support for social activities

Support Horizons are delighted to have been awarded a grant of £5,000 from Berkshire Community Foundation. The grant will be used towards the costs of training all staff in the new Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism aim to provide the social care and health workforce with the right skills and knowledge to provide safe, compassionate and informed care to autistic people and people with a learning disability. The training involves both an online element and a full-day face-to-face session for all of the organisation's 70 staff.

We offer creative and flexible support that’s as varied as the many people that use it. From a few hours per week, to 24 hours a day, we can provide support that’s designed by you, to meet the needs of your life. We work closely with our local authorities and community, which helps us let you know what’s out there. Whether it’s the support you need to live independently, help to do your shopping or start a new hobby, we can help.

Tailored To Your Budget

Whatever your needs and your budget, we will work with you to help you find the most suitable support. We can help you select your staff, plan your support schedule and help you come up with ideas of how to get the most from your budget. We provide flexibility so you can make changes and make sure your support enhances your life, not limits it. 

If you have chosen to manage your own budget, we can tell you how much you have spent and how much you have left ‘in the pot’ - turning that money into real hours, making it easy for you to understand. This enables you to have complete control over your budget, giving you the option to plan more hours into your schedule, or less, depending on when you need them. We employ, manage and pay your support workers, so you don’t have to.

Here To Enhance Your Life

We provide a support service that is flexible and creative – but also reliable and safe. All of our support workers are fully vetted and checked via the Criminal Records Bureau. We provide training, support and supervision to all our workers to ensure that they are able to confidently provide whatever support you require. Our 24 hour ‘on-call’ service gives you piece of mind that, even when there are unexpected problems, we’ll be there to deal with them. We are here to help you turn your budget into the life you want to lead.
